Personal consultation at Blaha Lujza Square every week on Friday between 3PM and 5PM
In the Street Lawyers Association, which has been operating since 2010, we provide free legal assistance in the field of social rights and housing to homeless peaople and people living in poverty, and in poor or precarious housing, mainly through volunteer lawyers.
We are also available by telephone every Tuesday and Thursday between 5PM and 7PM, but we also try to respond to email enquiries as soon as possible.

What is our vision?
We are working for a country where the conditions for a dignified existence are guaranteed, especially housing and social rights, and where access to justice is available to all.
What we do?
We aim to achieve fair regulation and application of housing and social rights and services. We deal with housing, social rights, and the regulations and practices of municipalities in relation to housing, social care and address registration.

Be aware of your rights
We have produced easy-to-understand "legal guides" that explain laws and their correct application. Our aim is to increase the legal awareness, legal literacy and advocacy skills of people who are homeless or living in poor or precarious housing.

Enforcement
We focus on the right to judicial enforcement and want to take strategic action against rules and practices that disadvantage poor people.

Eviction
Eviction is a long process, and as it progresses, the options (legal and otherwise) for a solution become increasingly limited. It is important to take action as soon as possible.

Housing
We help you navigate the maze of rental and letting options and processes. We have a special focus on social rented housing and publish applications, application tips and advice.

Social rights
We monitor and make recommendations on social benefits. We support legal standards and institutions that help disadvantaged individuals to overcome disadvantage.

Address
We are constantly collecting and publishing questions on address registration, address loss, address card applications and residence.

Infringement
We stand up for equal rights for people living in homelessness and in poor/unsafe housing conditions, against discrimination and criminalisation.
