If you live without a roof, a home and are experiencing a violation or have a legal question, contact our Street Lawyer! The Street Lawyer legal aid programme is for people living in housing poverty and homelessness:
Every Friday between 3-5pm
Location: 1085 Blaha Lujza Square (next to the fountain in dry weather, in the underpass in case of rain).
Please bring all relevant documents and papers with you if you are seeking legal assistance for a specific case, as this is the most efficient way for us to help you.
Who does the Street Lawyer Association help in Blaha Lujza Square, and in what cases?
For more than 13 years, Street Lawyer Association has been running its free legal aid programme, where volunteer lawyers provide free legal advice and assistance to more than 300 people every year at Blaha Lujza Square.
As more and more clients have come to us over the years, we felt it was necessary to identify who can contact us and with what kind of cases, in order to provide effective assistance.
Who can turn to us for help?
People in housing poverty (e.g. rent problems, poor housing conditions, eviction) and homeless people.
On what matters can the Street Lawyer Association NOT help?
Matters in which only lawyers can act, such as drafting of documents requiring countersignature by a lawyer (real estate sales contracts), representation in matrimonial proceedings, etc.; Matters relating to economic activities; Matters relating to the placing in or termination of a conservatorship; Matters that may be ethically objectionable. It is important that you can contact the Association for Civil Liberties (TASZ) with your guardianship case!
